The Shammas Eye Medical Center in Lynwood was established in 1982. Before then, the doctors had their offices located in the medical building facing St. Francis Hospital.

Our physicians are all Board certified ophthalmologists, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. The Shammas Eye Medical Center and the M/S Surgery Center will provide the highest quality of eye care to the members of our community and will maintain respect for the privacy and the dignity of its patients.

The doctors at the Shammas Eye Medical Center offer their patients the choice of four locations: Lynwood, Downey, La Habra and Whittier. All three offices offer ophthalmologic services (diagnosing and treating eye diseases) and optometric services (prescribing and dispensing glasses). The offices are open daily from Monday morning till Friday noon.

Our M/S Surgery Center is dedicated to outpatient eye surgery. It is approved by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, the State of California, Medicare, Medi-Cal and most private insurance companies. The Center is equipped with state-of-the art phacoemulsification and laser units to ensure the best results ever. The eye surgeons at the Shammas Eye Medical Center are experts in eye surgery and have performed thousands of these surgeries.
